Recognition Awards & Luncheon
Why the awards?
Over the years, PDAN members have heard many stories about the kindness and courage of individuals who have supported and assisted in the prevention of domestic abuse - individuals who have seen and recognized a situation of potential harm to a friend or a stranger and have taken appropriate action. To recognize these selfless acts, PDAN has established an award to acknowledge the difference one can make in another's life.
Eligibility
Any individual or organization within the Peterborough area that has made a difference in the life of someone who has experienced domestic or relationship abuse is eligible.
How to nominate someone
Complete a copy of the nomination form online and submit:
Nomination deadline
The deadline for this year's nominations is September 9, 2011. Chosen applicant(s) will be contacted by September 30, 2011. The luncheon is held during the YWCA's annual Week without Violence in mid-October.
Privacy
In order to respect the privacy of those involved, the names of PDAN awardees are not publicly announced and the luncheon is restricted to awardees and PDAN members only.
