About Us

Our mission

The Peterborough Domestic Abuse Network is dedicated to promoting healthy relationships and ending domestic and relationship abuse in Peterborough City and County.

What we believe

All victims of domestic abuse have a right to be safe, to be heard, to have choices, to be empowered and to be supported by the community. Preventing domestic abuse is everyone's responsibility.

What we do

We conduct public education about domestic and relationship abuse; training for service providers on issues related to domestic abuse; advocacy for improved prevention, recognition and response to domestic abuse; and confidential reviews of local domestic abuse cases to improve responses to victims/survivors.

Our members

The Peterborough Domestic Abuse Network is comprised of 31 member agencies representing various sectors, including shelters, counselling, victim services, health care, policing, justice, social services, education, housing, youth and child welfare.
